About Us

Gunning Early Learning Centre is a 35 place community based, not-for-profit Long Day Care Centre licensed under the Early Childhood Education and Care Directorate.

The centre was first opened as a preschool on November 20th, 1982. Since those early days we have undergone many changes and improvements. In 2009 we opened the doors to our new purpose built building as a five day a week long day care centre offering care to children 6wks -6yrs.

We are located in the quiet rural community of Gunning in the NSW Southern Tablelands, located just 25 mins from Yass and Goulburn and 45 mins from Canberra. We enjoy a quiet natural environment with a large grassed outdoor play space allowing the children to explore, develop and build relationships in a safe, secure and tranquil setting.

The new purpose built indoor spaces promote a creative and active learning environment for the children to engage in meaningful learning, through play. Small group sizes allow the children to develop a sense of comfort and belonging within their environment.
